Hello dear friends, watchers, members of #TheFavouriteShowcase and deviants in general How are you?


I'm sorry I haven't been around, I have some things to do here on dA and all got delayed because life, in its darkest side, got on the way. Unfortunately one of my employees lost his only child, a 17 years old boy, in an accident. I don't know how it is in other countries, but in Portugal, it's like a curse, we keep seeing our youth, specially boys, dying from stupid road accidents, some are about the speed, some about drugs or alcohol and careless driving, and others, without no explanation like this case...
...so sad




Anyway, before talking about kiribans and dA subscription draws, I want to bring to your attention a project which came to my knowledge through an invitation to participate on it.

 

TASartDErgi started to be issued in 2012 in Eskişehir, Turkey.

A new breath in web magazines, offering news, attention to art lovers and the world of art.
Trying to share personal stories behind the featured works, dreams, hopes, expectations, language, describing an intimate atmosphere from different cultures.

My work is on the 2nd Issue - Colours, a Turkish/English edition.
As many works present in this number are from dA members, I thought I could help promoting the magazine in my group #TheFavouriteShowcase having one folder [link] dedicated to this project.

The third issue of TASartDErgi magazine has as theme "Sea salt in art, Aegean and Mediterranean Coasts".
Participating countries: Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Malta, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Turkey, Syria, Cyprus, Lebanon, Israel, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Jebel Tariq-i (Gibraltar).

If you have a work which suits this theme and you want to be published in the magazine with any contents relating the "Sea salt in art, Aegean and Mediterranean Coasts", news, articles and/or pictures, please send an email to tasartdergi@gmail.com. You can send your works until the 15.06.2012.

Unfortunately, due to some issues I have to deal, I'm not able to count the votes and reveal who are the winners on the 1st July. I'm really sorry, I don't like to leave without finish a chore. And I'm not sure when I can continue the counting...I'll do my best to let you know the results as soon as possible, not in this weekend as promised, but in the next one.

Hello Traditional Artists
Today was the last day of my commission contest. I'm very thankful to all who have participated for their kindness and good will. I have chosen 3 works to buy as it was my primal intention and soon I'll be contacting the authors so we can agree on the terms of purchase.
I was contacted to extend the contest period, but as you can easily understand, this is not a regular contest: I think that any of you, traditional artists reading this, who have the will to produce a piece accordingly the rules below can contact me any time to show me a WIP or a finished work. If I like the piece, I'll buy it
Also below (scroll down to the end of the article) you can find my favourite works, wonderful pieces, just like I was looking for.
For now I'll remove the references I don't want any more but I'll keep the others available until the end of January 2013, so you are welcome to use them as I'm still commissioning you!
